Been dairy-free (minus cheese) for 9 years now. This is the only dairy cheese I can eat, it doesn't have the mucus/lactose intolerant effect virtually all cheeses on the market have. And, ethically/compassionate this means cows aren't pumped full with hormones and stuff! I would recommend in small doses to keep things ethical.
40% less plastic!
Delicious cheese, and it's great that Tesco is also reducing the amount of plastic packaging (it says on there that it uses 40% less plastic than the previous design). Often we have to make the decision between organic OR reducing our plastic use (for example when buying fruit and veg), but this sets a really good example. Well done Tesco!
Tesco please take more notice of sub preferences
Not bad, but won't be putting it down for home delivery as for some reason, when it's not available, it gets substituted with Creamfields, despite me asking not Creamfrields please on the notes.
Milder than the label suggests but my favourite
This is my favourite organic cheddar. It is not what I'd call mature, it is flavoursome but milder than the label might suggest. If you like a milder cheddar I'd really recommend this one.It cuts beautifully & is not all wet like some cheeses in packets. Like others the squareness of the cut cheese seemed annoying to start off with but I still love the cheese itself, I love it
We Like It
Another family favourite. This is a regular purchase and every pack to date has been good quality. Minus one for the packaging.
No apparent pridr in the product
The presentation is dreadful. The cheese looks like an extruded brick and the wrapping does no favour to the product. I realise that many producers are concentratiing on cutting costs. This, however. is organic cheese and therefore should be a premium prduct - the packaging and presentation make it look like a very ordinary product. It tastes OK but by this point, I no longer cared. Tesco, presentation reall does matter if you care about products

The quality was awful! It was hard and stale; it wouldn’t even grate. It was also flavourless. So disappointing. Is currently being used as a training treat for our dog- but I’m not sure that even he likes it.
Warning! Charging the same price for less product
The reduction of plastic packaging is fantastic but you have also reduced the weight of the product so we are paying more for less cheese. This change has not been highlighted.......
It's a YES from me!
Best organic cheddar ever
Reasonable, though not outstanding
It's a reasonable cheese, with a reasonable texture. I wouldn't describe it as mature, though - more medium. I don't understand how making the pack weight smaller saves plastic overall. I *think* that I was taught at school that larger masses had relatively smaller surfaces, so making the block smaller in fact increases the amount of plastic used overall in covering the same weight of cheese in smaller blocks. Could be wrong, though ... I'd believe in the reduction if it was the same size with less plastic.
