Buy cheap, buy twice
It's grim. Too sweet, too runny, really quite unpleasant. Like many people I need to save money but this has been the classic case of buy cheap, buy twice as I shall now have to chuck this out and buy Heinz instead.
A lot of people say this is too runny. I don’t actually mind that. The problem is that it is spicy!! Has an afterburn of chilli or spice. It’s not terrible but it’s there. I don’t mind too much, but ketchup shouldn’t be spicy!
Good close 2nd
Thinks pretty good, like the slightly more acidic taste. Prefer this to the leading brand and good value.
Bought this to try when Heinz ketchup was finished, due to using vast amounts for barbecue sauce! Not so good as Heinz for everyday use, slightly more vinegar flavour, so will keep for barbie sauce, which it's great for, but back to the Heinz for normal use.
Watery (but still better than Heinz)
Used to be tasty, even confirmed by a Which? magazine report a few years ago. But that was then and now the accountants have probably asked for more water to be included as this is quite watery. But vinegary Heinz is still worse.
This ketchup used to be good, but lately all the family have said it’s too runny, it goes everywhere and not where you want it. I am disappointed as feel the reviews don’t seem to make any difference as it hasn’t improved.
I have no idea why people are slating this souce, this souce is really nice and not runny at all. It tastes really nice even my husband who is fussy about things like this commited how nice it is. Maybe people aren't storing it properly. Best we have had and will be on my list every time we need a new one
Very watery. I shook it lots of times but still watery. Would not recommend it.
Does someone at Tesco actually read these reviews and action on the customer feedback? As others have said, the recipe has changed and not for the better! Very acidic now. We used to love this but won’t be purchasing again
I'm afraid to say it's awful..please go back tesco
