We recently had these for the first time. We thought that they were really nice - spot on with texture and taste. I was cooking Teriyaki in the (6.5 litre) slow cooker - so I added a metal colander on top, lined it with parchment/greaseproof paper and put the buns in that. I left them to cook all afternoon (along with the main course). We didn't know what to expect, never having had Bao buns before. The buns themselves had the texture of soft bread rolls. The flavour of the filling was more like pulled chicken (in bbq sauce) than Teriyaki but we enjoyed them nonetheless. I've just ordered another pack.
Tasteless
Tasteless bun with very little equally tasteless filling
avoid
these were absolutely disgusting, the filling was bland, and the flavour it did have tasted like dirty dishwasher. definitely wouldn't repurchase and they are way overpriced. perhaps the other flavours are more pleasant but these were a big no.
son loves them

Quick Jummy amazing
Like buying from a restaurant. I steam them 10 minutes in my FoodieNinja and so nice.reasonable size. Buy some dipping sauce
Yummy but pricey
I really like these bao buns even if they are a bit pricey. The duck ones are the best of them all but these chicken ones are still good. They come with small paper bags to microwave them individually and take about 40 seconds then another 20 seconds to rest. For me they are a special treat not an everyday item. I tend to look for them when on offer. Best thing is they also have NO MSG in so perfect if you have intolerances or migraines.
Fantastic
When you see something you like and you have this idea in your head what you think they will taste like or what texture they might have. Well these buns did just that and more . Buns are so soft I did mine in the microwave and the teriyaki chicken is awesome. Can’t wait to by some more as I ate them all in one sitting. Well done Itsu.
