very poor and NOT LARGE ....i won't buy this again as it's a CON
Not as good as I expected from Youngs
Not nice white fish as in the description. Told to cooked it too high so came out dry. I won't be buying it again.
Not a lot of fish!
There didn't seem to be a lot of fish in these fillets. 52% fish says it all! Lots of crunchy batter, but very thin fish.
Really nice, some reviews saying these aren’t but I really liked the fish. Was nice tasted like cod to me . Will be buying some more, great to have in for a quick meal and a great price .
fab fab fab
better than fish and chips from the shop
Well... I'VE learned MY lesson. If they don't even tell what SORT of fish in the product title, it's probably because they know you wouldn't buy it if you knew. I had this 'substituted' for my usual cod or haddock, and didn't even realise until I cooked and tried to eat it. It's oily, grey, and tastes as bad as it looks. I can only assume the 'beer batter' is a vain attempt to disguise the horrible taste of the fish. In future I'll be putting 'no substutions' on my fish purchases. Even my cat turned up his nose at this (admittedly, he's a cat, so, y'know, fussy...) Joking aside I can't recommend this at all.
Like no Chip Shop Fish I've ever seen!!!!!
Didn't realise that it was Alaska Pollock! Presumed that 'Chip Shop Fish' (see the biggest label on the box) would be fish you would buy from your local chip shop. I've never seen Alaska Pollock in any chip shop I've visited. The batter was ok but the fish was grey, thin and did not meet our expectations. Very disappointed!
Horrible don't buy it, fish was grey looking and tasteless,
TURNED OUT TO BE SOGGY IN THE MIDDLE, AND YES I COOKED IT PROPERLY, TESCOS OWN BATTERED FISH IS BETTER. I'LL STICK TO THAT.
Loads of oil came out of it during cooking.
