Excellent Dry Fried
I (and guests) have found these are very good - if cooked correctly. By that I don't mean the instructions on the pack. Use your cooking knowledge. In my case this means taking them out of the pack (making sure all the paper etc. has been removed) then, in a hot frying pan (without oil), 20-30 seconds each side to seal. Turn the heat down to medium-low and cook for 10 minutes, turning occasionally and pressing down gently for even cooking. In a brioche burger bun, with some wild rocket, a couple of sliced baby plum tomatoes and (if you like it) some more cheese, these are worth 5 stars.
HORRIBLE NOT DONE PROPERLY
The dough was not done and so sticky it was stuck in pan decomposing itself even to flip it! Not recommended my wife had to throw up afterwards!!! NOT BUYING AGAIN
Poor dates for use not what was advertised
I am concerned that these burgers delivered on Sunday 28/2/21 only had 1 day left to be used. The website states that they should have had 4+ days. I have decided never to order fresh food again.
great weekday meal on a diet
I love these! Quick to make and tasty. I track my meals and they fit well into my diet. A reviewer below me gave a one-star rating because they didn't notice the paper attached to the bottom of the burger. It's an understandable mistake but it doesn't change the quality of the food. I highly recommend these for an easy weekday meal.
A nice idea - but sadly, inedible
Never again! Wish had read other reviews. These sounded tasty and a bit different; we like a hit of chilli. On unwrapping, they were a rather off-putting pale pink, so moist they hardly bound together in a burger shape, but ignored this and managed to get them under the grill. The colour cheered up and it seemed all would be well after misgivings. Turned them over and they seemed to balloon up underneath, we served up after the right amount of cooking time. Except - there was a thin layer of hidden packaging on the bottom of each one which had burned. Didn't discover this until had eaten a couple of mouthfuls of what was actually still semi-raw turkey burger, pale pink mush in the middle with a chewy bit of packaging. The texture was disgusting and we chucked them straight in the bin.
These are insanely good
Bought these. I'm into gym and fitness, turkey is a go-to meat for me due to lower fat and higher protein content than other meats. Was apprehensive about that, as had never tried these, and thought, how good can they really be. They're turkey, not beef, after all. Very different meat. How wrong I was. These are insane. Plenty of jalapeno, I'd say a 6/10 kick (I order Medium at Nando's, so there's a scale for you), the cheese taste is faint but noticeable, which is nice, and the burger overall tastes a lot meatier than I thought it would. I served one just with lettuce and mayo, and one with that, + a caramelised onion relish I had. Both were excellent. I wouldn't add cheese - it ruins the health benefits of the turkey and overcrowds the flavour of the jalapeno. But that's just me. Would highly recommend. One of the best things I've discovered from Tesco, hands down.
Super spicy burgers.
Do NOT be fooled by the word mild or subtle on the label, there is nothing subtle about the spice in these burgers. Our resident spice lover grabbed the milk out of the fridge and it was all we could do to stop him chugging it straight out of the bottle. They should be called extra spicy burgers.
Amazing!! These are a must have at a bbq.
Hot hot hot
Was really looking forward to these but unfortunately the pack I bought had so much jalapeno in that I could not taste anything else, no taste of cheese and my mouth was on fire, I love spicey food but these were too much but they are good value and maybe I will try again when my tastebuds have recovered.
Please never stop making these.
I used to live in Texas and one of my favourite things was to add Pepper jack cheese to my burgers...well to almost everything! Thank you Tesco these are delicious. Thanks for the memories. My dream burger would be the ones with beef brisket and then cheese and jalapeno added.
