More expensive than full fat version
Why is the low fat version more expensive than the full fat? This is one way supermarkets have to improve in getting consumers to make healthier choices.
Recipe change, now salad beige not salad cream
Tesco, what have you done?! The recipe has changed and not for the better. I have been buying 50% less fat salad cream for years and am disappointed with the new recipe. It is now more of a beige colour rather than a lovely creamy colour and the taste no longer resembles salad cream. The acidity taste is far too over powering. It was a brilliant product but this change has ruined it. Comparing ingredients with an older bottle, I see that a lot of the ingredients have changed, in articularl the new recipe uses rapeseed oil in place of sunflower oil. The old recipe kept for 8 weeks in the fridge once opened, this new recipe only keeps for 4 weeks.

Why change something that didn't need changing?
I've been buying Tesco 50% less fat salad cream for over 10 years as having tried all the other similar less fat options in my opinion it had one of the best flavours and the best value. Although I noticed the "bottle" had changed as there was no indication of it being new I assumed the new shape was just a new design. How wrong I was - the contents tastes completely different, very vinegary in flavour and runnier in texture. When I've compared the new and the old there is quite a few changes in the ingredients and although the price is the same the content has been reduced over 15% from 535g to 450ml (grams and millilitres are the same). However annoyingly although there is less content than previously the new bottle is taller than the old one and no longer fits on the fridge door shelf where I keep all other sauces and condiments. So all in all I'm very disappointed with the change and won't be rebuying. Will have to go through the hassle of trying all the other options available.:-(

Product changed; now unpalatable.
Don't buy this: Recipe and package have just been changed - for the worse. Very odd unpalatable taste. Ingredients have changed: Now use rape seed oil instead of sunflower... etc. Now contains preservative. New version is runnier. No country of manufacture; could be anywhere on the planet. I like to know my food origin. Binning it. The search begins for a decent replacement. Tesco, please bring back the old version recipe.
