I was really looking forward to these, we had them in a curry, but the texture is really awful, they were very chewy and dare I say a bit like plastic, won’t be having them again
No for me at all, bland and rubber like texture, could of coped with the rubber texture but bland with no flavour, no thanks!
Big hit with Omnivores and Herbovores.
Brilliant substitute. Good flavour and a big hit with both Omnivores and Herbivores in our household. Great fried in fajitas or wraps and amazing in a stir fry. Just a shame there are not bigger packs!!
Loved them, a bit like chicken "kebab style" meat but in a good way! Bang them in a pitta witch some salad and mayo.....
These are just amazing. Great as a side, or even better in a Tikka Masala. Very similar to the Tofurky roasted tikka bites (which I don't think they make any more) but more bang for buck, and available in Tesco. As for texture... I used to love Halloumi Tikka Masala. These are kinda Halloumi meets chicken; so what's not to like? Can't recommend enough!
This has to be the very worst meat substitute product ever. Tasteless solid rubber lumps. Not even chewable. We made tikka wraps but had to throw entire batch away. Tesco you need to take these off sale today.
Amazing meat substitute
These are amazing. Really don’t understand the bad reviews for these?! I always oven cook them and use them in couscous salad and they’re never chewy or fatty. Buy 3 bags every time I do a Tesco shop
These chicken pieces are absolutely ridiculous. I've been vegetarian for 10 years, and mostly vegan for the past 4 years, and have always enjoyed chicken substitute products, but these tenderstrips are NEXT LEVEL. At this point, all the other chicken substitute products should should give up and go home. It's a mystery to me how they've made something so delectable and realistic (it's flaky like real chicken?!) from 91% rehydrated textured soy protein. Fry these up, and stick them in a sandwich, mixed with some vegan mayo, raisins, curry powder, cinnamon, mango chutney and salt and pepper. I defy you to find someone who doesn't think they taste like real chicken. I've fed them to many friends (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) and they've all been blown away. The other flavours (Roast and BBQ) are also delicious. Your move, Quorn
The best vegan chicken tikka alternative out there. Absolutely amazing, so tasty and really really easy and no messing about
Awful aroma and equally awful taste!
I was looking forward to trying these, as I love chicken tikka. Not only did they smell odd they tasted awful and there was no hint of tikka, just a horrible synthetic flavour! My daughter's words were 'it tastes like dog food'. Had to chuck the rest away. Wouldn't recommend it at all!
