Listed ingredients suggest flavour rich; it isn't!
Far from being 'Finest' quality, with a "rich, intense flavour," this cottage pie is tasteless. Maybe it's to do with the use of vegetable rather than beef gravy, as well as cheese-paring when it came to condiment use. I could discern no red wine, Dijon mustard, onion and garlic or sea salt, that's for sure. I realise others may not want salt but, like soup, this sort of dish needs it during the cooking process.
Not enough beef.
Not very meaty. Bought this as part of the dine in offer & was disappointed. The meat to potato quantity was about 15% meat and gravy 85%Mash. What meat there was was delicious & the same with the mash. Just waaay off with the ratios. Doesn't look like the picture on the packaging
Not finest quality at all poor effort
We where not impressed and don’t think this should be in the finest range very poor effort by my favourite shop poor quality at best
Tasty & Good Size Portion
Very tasty and good quality mince. No nasties to be found at all. Went well with the cabbage trio and a drop of instant gravy.
Great quality, tasty meal with good portion size for 2.
Couldn't make this better at home
It would be very difficult to make a cottage pie at home of this quality and taste excellent value especially as part of meal deal. I see a very low review score and suspect like many other meat products that are great but seem to get poor scores that there is some sort of vegan campaign going on with any meat based product reviews as the reviews are not fair and don't even make sense!
Finding a large globule of fat inside pie was not what I was expecting especially as it’s from the Finest range. Very disappointing, would not buy again.
