The gravy was the best thing. Meat was not nice. Do not recommend
Cooking from frozen, the first hurdle is getting the joints out of the frozen bag. With the help of scissors, pliers and patience I eventually managed it. The cooking was no problem but the result was poor: no real flavour, not even of mint sauce. The over-riding taste was of sweetness, far too strongly. Poor value for money.
Pleasantly surprised. Lots of lovely gravy. However shanks a bit on the small side. Beautifully tender. Did these with mash potatoes & veg. Would buy again
Save your money
Save your money, cooked in the oven in covered container for 80 minutes as stated. The meat was tough and hard to cut off the bone, lots of sinew and tough connecting tissue. What meat there was,was very chewy. i would not give this to a dog.
Just the right amount of meat for a Sunday roast
Although on the small side, these were very tasty. I followed the cooking instructions and the meat just fell off the bone with very little fat. I felt the gravy was on the sparse side but I do like my food 'wet' so just made up some more and added to the cooking pot. This made a great Sunday lunch for the two of us saving the need to buy a full joint.
