Very bad quality, by the time I had thrown the fat
Very bad quality, by the time I had thrown the fatty bits I was left with half of what I started with. Never will I buy these again. The most interesting thing is that Tesco have not done anything about the quality despite these reviews......
Looked so unappealing it nearly went straight to the bin but I hate to waste food. No chunks just slivers and icky bits I used it in a slow cooked Spanish chicken casserole which the family enjoyed but having seen the chicken in its raw state I was put off. If you want good sized chunks don't buy this.
Not sure how Tesco can justify the use of the word
Not sure how Tesco can justify the use of the word diced. Poor quality butchery and 200g slithers and off cuts. Waste of money even with the clubcard discount
Used to be much better
Used to get good evenly sized chunks of chicken, now lots of tiny pieces and some huge chunks. Sadly looks like I will have to go back to cutting my own chicken up, a job I not only I hate, but find very tiring given my health problems.
Quality standard below cheap
I ordered two packages. One contained sharp pieces of plastic within the meat and the other one arrived with damaged (open) packaging.
Excellent Quality Diced Chicken From Tesco 🐤
I have to admit I'm absolutely baffled at a lot of these really negative reviews. Unless you are angling for a refund and/or compo you must be basing your ratings on the very last battered packs leftover to get reduced on the final 'Use By' date. Tesco's (fresh) Diced Chicken Breast is akin to M&S or Waitrose in comparison to the fatty, sinewy & sludgy blobs of water based matter that swish around the likes of Iceland & Sainsbury's poor excuses for "ethically sourced (from the drain) chicken. I make lots of curries and casseroles and they always turn out perfectly with this product 👍👍👍👍👍
The worst chicken i have ever had just horrible
Chicken in slime 40% chicken 60% water !
This was bought as diced chicken NOT floating chicken in slime! It is not a goldfish from the fair?! Fresh chicken is dry there is no need to add water, we the public are not stupid and do not wish to pay for water...just stop pumping water into all your meat products even if the chicken farmers within Parliament vote for it to be allowed just because it will earn them more money! Even the minced beef has washed out white patches on the top due to water being added at the packing stage, washing the blood out of the meat ... just BONKERS. Please stop doing this.
Terrible quality, went straight in the bin
Absolutely awful, have thrown the whole lot in the bin. Opened when well within it's use-by date, and it smelt terrible. Full of blood clots, fat, and gristle etc., basically unusable. Have contacted Tesco regarding this, as it is simply unacceptable.
