Product Description

  • Malbec - Red Argentinian Wine
  • This wine is an unusual collaboration between two leading winemakers. Touriga Nacional is the flagship grape of Portugal, and the Touriga for this wine was made in Argentina by Portuguese Winemaker Rui Reguingua. The Malbec was made by Vinalba's winemaker Hervé J.Fabre. This wine is powerful but elegant, with a rich and complex palate. Blackcurrant and plum flavours, hints of violet and layers of toasty oak combine to create an elegant wine with great intensity. Great with any grilled meat, particularly chargrilled steak.

My favourite wine

5 stars

My favourite wine. I wish it was cheaper, but will save it for special occasions or when on offer.

The worst wine I've ever bought

1 stars

Very strange for a wine to taste like it's been spiked with Vodka or Rum or some other powerful spirit. This was the first bottle of wine I've ever tipped away in my life, wouldn't even do the usual trick that I'd tend to do and simply cook with a wine I wasn't keen on, tried to like it but it was like paint stripper, wasn't a case of being corked or contaminated as didn't have that sort of aroma or taste, just extremely harsh, overpowering flavour of neat alcohol, and I'm no wine snob nor do I drink cheap rubbish, so this came as a surprise.
