Poor compared to the previous product
This is not a patch on the previous Coastal Bite Cheddar as sold by Tesco. Quality is poor, taste is ill defined and bland. As for the green wax , it just gets in the way. Please revert to the Vintage Coastal Bite. That was 5 Star

I was attracted to Coastal Bite as l enjoy trying different cheeses and l happen to live on the coast. This cheese is presented with a green wax coating that keeps it fresh and looks delightful when served, an attractive addition to any cheeseboard. The taste is quite strong with a definite "bite" to it. I shall certainly buy it again.
Great tasting versatile cheddar and no plastic
Great tasting tangy cheddar with a nice firm creamy texture. Good for eating on its own or grated into meals and sauces. Even better it's packed in wax so no sweaty cheese and nothing to dump in landfill.
Can recommend the taste and texture
This is a great tasting tangy cheese, perfect with a crisp green apple or some seedless green grapes for a light lunch. I just wish it came in a bigger block. I also wish it didn't come in a wax coating. I hate fiddling with that every time I want to have some. Especially the first time when I slice through both and find that I have left smears of green wax all through the cheese. I can't believe that someone would suggest that we buy grated cheese because we 'don't like removing a little of wax'. 1) When you have arthritis in the hands like I do, it is hard to cut though wax. (Not that we should have to explain ourselves) 2) This sort of cheese doesn't come ready grated. 3) Grated cheese comes with unhealthy additives. So we'll give that a miss, thanks.
Fantastic Cheddar
Fabulous Cheese. Sad if you cannot be bothered to take the small amount of wax off (why not buy grated) This Cheese is One of the Best. Strong,Tasty and goes along way as you do not need much a good economic cheese as well as delicious with a pear/cox apple and maybe some onion obviously use a pairing knife ie one you skin your potato's with. YUM
Nothing Fine about it.
Far too crumbly for cheddar. For me style over substance and being wrapped in wax expected more.

Mature, mellow, moreish, cheddariness
*clears throat* This, THIS, is a really nice cheddar. Mature, mellow, moreish, cheddariness. Not quite on a par with Snowdonia's Black Bomber but not too wide of the mark!
A DISTINCTIVE AND MEMORABLE CHEDDAR
Wonderful Cheddar cheese with a distinct smooth flavour quite sophisticated and once tried smitten. A splendid addition to your cheeseboard to make it stand out and be remembered.
