Very Important How You Cook These
I would recommend NOT following the instructions, as others say they've done and ended up with ruined girasoli. Boil your water but do not add the girasoli to bubbly, rolling water; turn the heat down to low-medium, add the girasoli when the water is calm and only leave in for a couple minutes. You can check by prodding them lightly. If you're used to cooking pasta, you'll know the texture even through a spoon, otherwise you might want to use a slotted spoon to pull one out and prod the filled centre with a finger. It shouldn't be completely firm but also not so soft that the filling is already coming out. These are very tasty if cooked correctly and if you just consider the fact they are FRESH pasta and require much less cooking than dried.
I was so disappointed with this product. I carefully followed the instructions for cooking this. However the girasoli just exploded! I’d also purchased the fresh pesto and instead of enjoying my supper I ended up with a plate of mush! No real discernible flavours? Except perhaps salt (not added by me!) Altogether a forgettable meal! Not recommended. I expected more from the ‘Finest’ range!
Tasty and quick to make
We cooked this with Loyd Grossman's tomato and basil sauce and it ended up as a really nice filling meal. Some of the pasta shells had opened up and spoilt in our quick-boil but that's to be expected with these things. This was our first time testing out Tesco's Finest range of fresh pasta. I have to say, I can see why there is a premium price attached to this! I highly recommend it but word of caution, pay very close attention to the boiling/cooking times, don't exceed the three minute market otherwise you'll get a mess!
Cook quickly and gently!
Delicious but as others have found they do break very easily. I think cook gently and only for a couple of minutes max.
Makes a quick tasty meal
A very moreish spinach and creamy ricotta filling in a perfect pasta parcel. Simmer just for the recommended 3 minutes. Longer will weaken and open the pasta. Enjoy every bit of that yummy filling!

Mushy and loose parcels
Poor quality. Filling just fell out despite following instructions to the letter. Also eggs used aren't free range which I thought they would be given it's a finest product. Avoid.
