Awful taste and rubbery!
My husband bought this cheese by mistake. I did not like the taste and the rubbery consistency did not help either. Told him not to buy Cream fields cheddar again.

I used to really like this cheese, it wasn’t too strong and had a lovely texture but lately it’s been very wet and crumbly with a bit of stronger taste. It also doesn’t seem to heat very well, almost went like a cottage cheese consistency when put in a cheese toasty. It’s such a shame as it was such good cheese and great value for money
The quality became terrible lately. Rubbery texture, and absolutely flavourless.
nice basic dairy cheddar
nice basic mature cheddar, an everyday staple. Some people are saying it's rubbery when toasted, but I cook it for fewer seconds and find it fine. Others might be comparing with more matured, extra mature, aged cheddars, but which this Creamfields is not. I'd rather call it mildly-matured, and set taste expectations accordingly. I want it for convenience and for the dairy nutrition content, not for posh cheeseboards and toffs or fussy eaters. That said, I'm confused by the pricing having risen by £1 per kilo this year, when other dairy cheeses haven't, and the other size of the same thing hasn't. So I won't be buying it whilst there is cheaper-per-kilo to be had elsewhere.
***Perfect for families***
My family eat cheddar cheese everyday- grated, slices, slivers, shavings, cubes, strips you name it! We put it on chilli, Spag bol, baked beans, pasta, Ploughman’s and more. At this low price we can afford to have liberal potions of cheese. I recommend this item to families who say they are struggling to buy food. There are not excuses here - this item is the cheapest cheddar at Tesco. Plus the taste and texture are still there! There are also many other seriously cheap items available at Tescos. You just have to find them and work out for yourself if it’s a good buy or not! It can be done!
A truly great cheese, I dare not purchase too much as I cant stop eating it.
Rubbery texture! Why did the recipe change?
Creamfields Medium White Cheddar 400G
very poor indeed bland tastless avoid at all costs.
I loved it.
Lovely creamy cheddar. I usually buy mature cheddar cheese and bought this by mistake. However, it is delicious. A really creamy mild cheddar ( to my taste) but still rich, with a good texture. And this was after having it in the freezer for a few weeks. Just as good, if not better, than the more expensive brands and certainly rivals any French or Italian equivalents.
REally has very little taste and dreadful for slicing. Crumbles into bits
