Preparation and Usage

Remove outer packaging.

Allow product to rest for 20 minutes at room temperature before cooking.

When cooked according to instructions.--

Suitable for freezing. Ideally freeze as soon as possible after purchase but always by 'use by' date shown. Not suitable for cooking from frozen. Defrost thoroughly for a minimum of 24 hours in the fridge. Once defrosted use within 24 hours and do not refreeze. Follow the preparation guidelines above. Keep refrigerated. Once opened, consume within 1 day and by ‘use by’ date shown.

Oven

Instructions: Oven 240°C/ Fan 220°C/ Gas 9 Place a flat baking tray into the oven and allow to heat up for 10-15 minutes. Remove the Wellington from the plastic container by holding both ends of the baking paper and carefully place on the hot baking tray. Take care when handling the tray as it will be very hot. Glaze the Wellington with egg or milk before cooking to ensure a golden finish. Place into the centre of the pre-heated oven for 20 minutes. Reduce temperature to 180°C/Fan 160°C/Gas 5 and cook for a further 20-25 minutes (rare), 30-35 minutes (medium) or 45-50 minutes (well done). Remove from oven and allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Microwave

Instructions: Not suitable for microwave cooking.
