Vinification Details

Grapes are machine harvested at optimal ripeness and gently pressed to minimise colour extraction. The wine is then fermented in stainless steel tanks, producing a wine with a succulent palate of juicy berries and refreshing citrus.

History

At Wairau Cove we start with the basics - great soil and plenty of sunshine. Our grapes come from some of the best wine territory on earth, regions famous for the quality of their wines, with environments that burst from every drop.

Regional Information

Nearly all New Zealand vineyards are located within 125km of the coastline, with the majority of the grapes grown on the East Coast. Latitudes range between 36 to 45 degrees, use different soil types, and are grown in varied climates producing a vast range of diverse wine styles.
