Good buy ......so far!
Oil the meat, not the pan, an hour before frying. Never season beef with salt beforehand, it makes the meat tough.
We have been buying these from Tesco for years, probably about every three weeks as a treat, and they've usually been first class. Sadly this was not the case last weekend - they were stringy, chewy, nearly inedible and very poor quality and it's put me off ordering them again. I hope they find a new supplier!

Terrible quality, tasteless, tough, and full of gristle, instead of throwing it in the bin I gave it to my dog.....even he turned his nose up at it. Will not be buying again. Need some quality control here.

Awful. The fat which gives flavour to steaks was in my purchase gristle. Surely won't buy again. On a positive note the dogs loved it!

Gristle, gristle and more gristle! I have been buying these sirloin steaks regularly for some time and, until recently, they were tender and delicious? Unfortunately, the last two purchases (four steaks) have had gristle the length of the steaks, and the meat itself has been closer to the texture of braising steak. Virtually no flavour and tough as shoe leather, I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt once but will not buy again.
Quality control needs to be improved.
Tesco need to improve their QC. Bought 5 of these steaks. 3 were very nice cuts of meat but the other 2 were absolutely awful! Full of fat and grisel and certainly not sirloin. I don't think you could even pass them off as rump. It's a pity, because I'm reluctant to buy them in the future.
My recent steaks delivered to my door were so thin that they were only suitable for sandwiches or the BBQ. It seems that there is a total lack of quality control on how the steaks are cut.
