Preparation and Usage

  • How To Make Your Cupcakes
  • You will need
  • 1 egg
  • 45ml (3 tbsp) water
  • 10ml (2 tsp) vegetable oil
  • 10g (2 tsp) soft margarine for the icing
  • If you do not have oil or margarine, very soft butter could be used.
  • 1 Make the cupcakes
  • 1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C for a fan oven), Gas Mark 4.
  • 2. Place the 10 Frozen cupcake cases in a cupcake tray.
  • 3. Empty the chocolate sponge mix into a mixing bowl and add the egg, water and oil. Using a whisk, mix to make a runny batter.
  • 4. Using a teaspoon divide the cake mixture evenly between the 10 cases. Scrape the mixing bowl to ensure you get all the mix in the cakes.
  • 5. Bake the cakes for 10-12 mins until firm to the touch. Allow the cakes to cool on a wire rack.
  • 2 Decorate the cupcakes
  • 6. To make the chocolate frosting put the chocolate icing sugar in a small bowl and add 10g (2tsp) of soft margarine. With a teaspoon slowly mix in the icing sugar to make a smooth frosting.
  • 7. Spread a little of the chocolate frosting on each cake, decorate with chocolate sprinkles and add the non-edible Frozen flags. Then enjoy! Best eaten freshly baked.
