Very tasty and cheesy, nice texture too. Would definitely buy again!
PLS TESCO GO BACK TO ORIGINAL IT WAS MUCH BETTER
PLEASE TESCO GO BACK TO YOUR OLD RECIPE & CONSISTENCY - WHY CHANGE SOMETHING WHEN IT WAS SO GOOD??? I have bought this cheddar mash for years and it used to be so good, a lovely flavour of cheddar and the right consistency. For some time now this cheddar mash has gone completely downhill and I am really annoyed about it! (Yes I know first world problems and all that!) It is now virtually flavourless and no different to ordinary mash and very watery as others have stated. It is so disappointing. I only keep buying it sporadically in the hope Tesco have changed back to the old recipe! PLEASE TESCO GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL VERSION, IT WAS SOOOOOO MUCH BETTER!
I've bought cheddar mash before from a well known clothes/food store and it's a delight. Popped into tesco tonight and thought I'd try this. Man, it's awful. Don't buy unless you're a fan of a really bad version of 'Smash' from the 70's!
Unpleasant watery mush
Unpleasant watery mush. It doesn't taste of much.
Totally tasteless, no taste of either cheese or potato, in fact no taste of anything. Disappointed to say the least, used to be delicious!
This seemed to have been bulked out with water. No taste of potato or cheese!
Where was the cheese .never tasted any at all
Nothing cheesy about it! I always add my own grated cheese once it's cooked and stir it in and then it is better but a real faff!
Really enjoyed this with sausages and beans yummy
Cheese-less and bland without extras
I've had to go to soft foods while I'm awaiting a dentist appointment couldn't be bothered to make something so picked up some of these, thinking it'd be alright. I was super disappointed by the severe lack of cheese! and even taste. Yes I could make my own easily but I wanted a very quick meal with zero washing up required. You can make it better by adding to it, so I had some philly in the fridge, added a dollop of that with some sweet chilli sauce and it's no longer super bland but was hoping for some cheesy mash once cooked :D Basically you can save it if you have any ingredients in your fridge/cupboard that could spice it up, but it shouldn't be sold as cheesy mash!
