Best pads on the market
I have recently started to have heavy periods and these are the only pads that can work for me. I have to wear two at night but though i've tried other combinations these are by the most absorbent, flexible and non intrusive. They rarely leak and if they do it's my own fault. I recently ran out and found that of them and had to have time off work in the end as other pads didn't work as well and i was having to change every hour and still had leakage. I just didn't feel as protected as i did with these pads. Due to medical reasons i can't use tampons. Thank you for making this product, this is the only product that appears to have been made with older women who have heavier periods in mind.
I use Always maxi each month and it gives me the security that I need. They’re really comfortable to use, so soft
Not like the old maxi 8hr- very disappointing
I bleed heavily and I used always maxi with wings that lasted long for 8 hours which was the old product. Since I moved to England for past 9 years I used this. It was great I had nothing to worry about. The new replacement I can't even use for 2 hours as it starts leaking. With the safety critical job I do I can't go to toilets more often and working with majority of men it doesn't feel great to be in a feeling that it might leak. With the stress and pain of period pain I don't feel comfortable any more. I simply wish, you can bring back the old one back. Whoever change the product cannot be a woman. If it was a woman, she would understand what a woman goes through and never would have change this. If other ladies want a thin pad they can use always ultra. But for somebody like me, it was only for always maxi with wings - 8 hour protection was the only option. If you google the reviews you will see the amount of women don't like the new always maxi. Please bring the old product back.
Poor quality and design
The design of this product has changed and seems thinner and cheaper quality. Although it says it stops leakage, since the design has changed I find that they leak more and do not keep you as dry and protected. Would not buy again and looking for alternative protection. Should definitely go back to the old design as it was much better.
Hate the new design.
I was really happy with the old design, as they were comfortable and stayed in place, giving me confidence with the heavy flow on the first couple of days of my period. The packaging of the individual pads now feels cheap and nasty and the pads themselves feel hard and inflexible. Wearing them during the recent heatwave gave me a nasty rash where the edges rubbed at my knicker line. The wings don’t help - they seem to have been moved further forward and don’t stick to my knickers properly. The larger end of the pad, especially when I wear jeans, seems to bunch up, which makes me feel like I’m wearing a bulky nappy. I’ve resorted to using thinner pads and visiting the toilet more often to change them, which is a nuisance. I’m glad that other people are reporting similar problems - I thought I was just being fussy, but your company should take notice of the women who buy and then wear these pads. The ‘improvements’ you mention are not changes for the better for many of us - in fact, we are suffering discomfort and embarrassing leakages. I would change to another product, but can’t find anything suitable. Please stop changing things for the sake of it!!
Awful new design - now about half the size
Am really annoyed as the maxi long size 2 were brilliant pads & used to absorb very heavy flows - this new design (the bit with the pink logo saying mit fulgen) - are awful & about half the size & will no where near do the job of the old ones - am looking for a diff brand to replace these!! - am So annoyed.
I hate the new design
The new design is smaller than the normal design i always leak with this anti leakage design? The old design was so much better please change it back. I have nothing else to use even close to anything like the old design. I loved the old one. Was the new design by a lady just seems so ridiculous so much smaller. The old design was the best i have heavy flow periods and i can not find anything that suits me now.
Product has changed
Always have changed these pads, they are no longer as absorbent or as flexible. I’ve had to change brands. Please change them back.
I hate it
Absolutely hate the new ones they are so thick and flimsy and they are cheap they have no foam I should just use panty liners cause these pads just cause discomfort I hate them
New maybe improved it is not!
One star rating at a push - why so few stars? For someone who has used and recommended the ‘always’ brand since 1990 the original maxi long was far superior to this ‘new version’. I have had to use this one as the old version is no longer available to buy. For the last three months I have leaked from the sides!. I feel insecure wearing them, totally lack confidence in these pads now. I am actually looking to see what alternative brand I can purchase. Thanks for nothing always! I even brought always for my daughter as I have always had so much confidence in their products. But I am totally distraught at what a big let down these pads are. For those of us who suffer from heavy periods, a pad which is thinner in the middle means that during heavy flow this area gets soaked quickly and anything more just leaks out the sides because there’s so little to absorb any flow, (TMI) but I don’t wish for others to be in a public place thinking that these pads will last any where near the time the old version did. Which genius thought let’s put less material in here to absorb heavy flow and make it so contoured so everything just slips through the sides!! If I wanted to I could buy the always ultra (thin pads) for their discreet thinness and contouring, but they are useless for me other than maybe on my last day of menstruation. So instead always had their maxi pads which were for women like me who needed a more absorbent pad! However the new and not improved version of the maxi long pad I am having to change these pads after a ridiculously short period of time. Compared to old version which could easily last a 2-3 hours even on a very heavy day, these will be sodden through in less than half the time. I am so disappointed with always I can’t tell you. I hope someone will see sense and change these products from their useless ‘discreet’ version back to the useful and once highly recommended maxi pad I have used with CONFIDENCE for the last 20+ years.
