House Blend 3 was the tops- now the bottom !
House Blend 3. These beans were always dependable just the right amount of roasting to obtain the flavour that was not overpowering. The last pack I bought (August 2020) was quite the opposite - over roasted and quite undrinkable. I threw the beans away. Come on Tesco who does your quality monitoring to ensure a consistent standard- anybody ?
Great value, taste and consistency...
Really good bean. Use the coffee bean in a bean to cup machine, found the right ground setting to get the best from the bean and they really do make an excellent cup of coffee. The description says ‘hints of hazelnut & sweetness’ and that’s exactly what you get, if you taste bitter, change your grind settings. We love South American coffee beans as opposed to Italian etc so if you’re the same, give this one a go. We predominantly use them for lattes so can’t comment on straight espressos. They really do give some high quality beans a run for their money (including our favourite 200oC coffee!). For the price, you’d struggle to find a better value product with this consistency and taste (something other brands cannot maintain generally).
OK- but not my choice
The beans were smaller and less well formed than my usual. I found that coffee produced had slightly bitter undertone. I am sure that some may find that appealing... not me. That bitterness was evidence even under frothed milk. The coffee was not revolting, but definitely not what I want..
Hard to beat.
As good as it gets. Really. I find that I buy expensive blends, taste them, shrug my shoulders and come back to this. Full and yet mellow, not bitter or in your face. Starts my mornings just right.
amazing quality strong and tasty
the best coffee ever! great and very cheap
Good flavour, great value.
Good flavour, great value.
EXCELLENT
These are excellent. (Now repackaged with pictorial bag). I found best brewed: FINE GROUND and STRONG BREW .. they make a nice House coffee, straight down the middle. Not a Bitter. Not a Burned Taste (some like that), Not Insipid the way house blend coffees are, Well done, whoever selected these beans!
