I made this up once & thought the taste was nothing like white sauce. I guess nothing beats making your own from scratch.

Love this for when you need a quick & easy white sauce, unlike the old version, this is quite savoury & saves having to wash up sticky, burnt on residue on pans etc., just add boiling water & it's done. Makes an excellent sauce for lasagne, chicken & ham pie etc.
