Sustainably fished or not?
No question, it is delicious BUT is it, or is it not sustainably fished? The photo here shows the blue MSC logo but it is not on the packet when it arrives. It is very misleading and needs rectifying.
I wish these were in stock more often but when they are we buy them each week. Good with a salad, enjoyed by everyone in the house - even my dad who says he doesn't like fish much. The sweet taste cuts through any greasy-ness.
Firstly, I've never seen boneless mackerel fillets before so that was a bonus. And the taste was really lovely. The mix of the sweetcure and the smokey taste was a great combination. The best smoked mackerel I have had.
Full flavour and good quality
Best flavour and my favourite fish product. We but this every week.

SO tasty. Firm fish with really good flavouring. And no bones!
verging on a Trades Description lawsuit
I don't know what 'gently smoked' is supposed to mean, this - as the mushy texture would tell you, even without the small print on the packet - is just ordinary hot-smoked mackerel. The only distinctive thing about it is the added sugar, and that's not an improvement. A typical case of trying to sell you a load of flannel instead of something good, and considering it's about 40% dearer than the standard product it's a rip off.
So tasty, I could snack on it all week.
I love this mackerel, but was disappointed to be to
