Nearly peeled Brussel sprouts
Peeled Brussel Sprouts I have had 2 lots now and they both taste very nice, however The first lot I had to peel but I didn't think too much about it, however the second lot I have also had to peel. Why do I have to peel sprouts that are advertised as peeled?
Not what it says on the tin!
Not a single sprout is peeled. I may as well of bought loose unpeeled sprouts. I have previously had some unpeeled but my latest purchase is taking the proverbial
Definitely NOT peeled
Under the trade descriptions act, I think Tesco should remove the word "peeled". !! If you want dirty looking dryish outer leaves still on your sprouts then buy this product. if not then be prepared to do some work when you get them. These were substituted in place of my normal bag of unpeeled sprouts and to be honest I could not tell the difference other than the price. I think I had to "peel" almost every one.
Great sprouts. Thanks!
Where are these from?
I like the brussel sprouts. What I object to, and hope someone from Tesco will read, is the use of a picture displaying a union jack indicating it's grown in the UK, when the description clearly states "United Kingdom,France,Morocco,Netherlands,South Africa,Spain"! I want to buy locally grown produce - not veg that's airfreighted/shipped here from '000s of miles away; the origin of too many products is unclear.
