Full of flavor and moist but, oh so salty. Reminded me of when one would soak a gammon joint overnight. Had this been the instruction it would have been perfect.
Great little joint for 2 tasty and tender.
Lovely taste but very salty
The quality and taste of the meat was lovely. It roasted well and was not dry. All this was spoiled by how salty it is. The only way round this for me was to eat it cold, but first slice it and run it under the tap, which helped. Hence only 3 stars which is a pity.
Poor quality. Nothing like real gammon. Texture was like plastic. Not much flavour. Most of it went into the bin. Avoid !
Really bad joint, will never purchase again!
Absolute rubbish, in edible, threw the whole joint away. Could not even chew the meat I had carved and put on our plates. Really bad joint, have never ever had to throw away a joint before. Only rated 1 star as couldn't put less. May not be an expensive joint but expected to be able to eat it!
Nice tasting gammon and buying it as a joint as op
Nice tasting gammon and buying it as a joint as opposed to steaks means you can carve it up a bit thinner. Better to buy it in-store and choose the size, shape and price of the joint you prefer, buying online is a bit of a lottery as you're at the mercy of the picker.
Great - very tasty
Really good - usually nice and smokey contrary to the rubbish known as ‘smoked’ rashers. Great hot or cold with a good amount of fat. Not sure how your reviewer expects to get crackling on a bacon joint!! Certainly not salty - we always add some more to our plates. Tesco used to sell odd shaped pieces under their cheaper brand which were just as lovely. Please Tesco’s can we have rashers the same plus odd-shaped pieces again?
Nice product that doesn’t shrink with cooking but it is very salty. Can’t get the crackling to crisp.
Good value and taste.
Got a 900g. Was easy to cook and great to eat.
Half was fat
Only half was meat, the rest was fat! Took a photo as was so amazed that I could pay £5 for so little meat!
