Great breakfast idea
I used this mix along with orange juice and water and I thought it tasted really nice for breakfast in the morning. Now I’ve made my own spinach/kale smoothie before and it’s always tasted horrible but this premade mix tastes really nice and definitely not too veg-y in taste at all.
Awful taste, awful smell.
Beautiful! The right amount of everything! On the back it says to add apple juice, but is totally fine with just water! If you want you can add some citrus juice and it will be perfection!
Simple tasty smoothie
I love this smoothie mix! Great flavour, fresh, light and super simple. It's not too sweet and is an easy way to get extra greens in my day. I never have any spinach in my teeth (other reviewer needs a better blender) and you just blitz from frozen with apple juice (another reviewer waited for it to defrost? why??) . Recommend using a spoon, instead of pouring out of the bag, to get a good mix of fruit/veg in your portion.
Yummy and healthy
Great if you love green juices. I add apple juice, cucumber and fresh spinach and it tastes great. Anyone complaining in the reviews obvs doesn't like healthy food.
Perfect balanced mix for smoothie
Great mix blended with alpro coconut milk and a shot of ACV lemon turmeric and ginger, lovely low carb tangy smoothie. Keep selling Tesco!!
This smoothie mix is okay – it tastes fine and although it's not super sweet, it's also not really savoury like some other reviewers suggested. However, the ratio of spinach and kale to kiwi and mango isn't great, you definitely get a lot more leaves than fruit. The main reason that I've only scored it three stars is that you end up drinking about half the smoothie, and having half of it left stuck in your teeth! There's absolutely no way I could drink one of these on the go, or if I didn't have immediate access to a toothbrush. You're left with an absolute mouthfull of spinach/kale wedged into every crevice. NSFW.
Bad idea for a smoothie mix
That really doesn't work as a smoothie mix. The combination of the greens and the fruits is quite disgusting. Additionally the kiwi slices took forever to defrost.
it does what it says....do what it says....
Personally I did find this heavily on the veg rather than the fruit. So adding the advised base Apple juice balanced the flavours for me. If I experimented...I made a greek yoghurt based variety with a milkshake vibe it was not a success! So I follwed the rules after that..!
Good base but needs added ingredients
This works well if you mix other fruit and seeds with it - added Whitworth soft dates; figs; mixed seeds; banana; gogi berries; coconut water and Skyr yoghurt to taste. On its own its not so good.
