Not great .. Anyone looking for a great GF loaf, try the tiger loaf, you wouldn't know that bread was gluten free !
Odd but not bad.
Good quality bread, with a great texture, and not too dry. The taste was mostly pleasant, but I found the loaf smelled very yeasty. "Mostly pleasant" because it did have a very slight sour edge to the taste, almost like a dry wine. I get the feeling that if your taste lean towards things like dry white wine, that you'd like this more than I did. On packaging, the plastic outer was too tough to just tear open, but kitchen scissors are a thing so no big deal. This loaf also comes set inside an inner plastic tray, so might not be your thing if you're conscious of your plastic consumption. Summary: I won't be seeking this out, but if it's in stock or on offer I would buy it. I wouldn't send it back if it was a substitution either.
Better than expected
This was so much better than I expected, as someone new to gluten free life. Different, obviously, but still nice. There were a few holes in it, which often happens with normal bread anyway, but only a couple of slices. Will be buying again.
Handy for those on restricted diet
Bought this for my daughter who is currently having wheat, egg, dairy free diet. She seemed to like it.
A big disappointment
I thought that I would try this loaf after reading the favourable reviews below. What a disappointment! The bread was dry, sliced too thickly and had a peculiar taste, unlike any other bread I have ever eaten. I realise that it is difficult to produce bread without gluten, but this is definitely a failure. I shall not be buying it again, and cannot recommend it to anyone.
Not perfect, but about as good as gluten free gets

This is really good for gluten free bread, its not
This is really good for gluten free bread, its not too dry like a lot of other gluten free breads. Thought has gone into the way its packaged so it is not all torn up and slices intact. I have IBS and this is Low Fodmap which is great for us IBS sufferers. Size is on the small side which makes the price seem expensive but worth it if you have any digestive issues.
Best gluten free..
I love this bread, BUT a few of the loafs have been much dryer than usual! I also noticed these slices were bigger? Love the bread but not as much when like that? I hope it’s not an ongoing problem
Less stress for IBS! And tastes good too.
For those of us who can’t eat Fodmaps( fermentable sugars ) this make is brilliant. They are all checked by Monash Universty and you can find them in the Monash App. So if you have IBS or other digestive disorders triggered by Fodmaps, this is one less stress to contend with. If it’s passed on the App, you know it’s safe to eat. The same cannot be said for other gluten free products so I really hope Tesco continues to sell Schar bakery products and not just any old gluten free stuff. It tastes good and toast well and lasts over a week if kept cool.
The best IMO
Wonderful bread, really chuffed.... IMO the best gluten free bread option around!
