Good Value for money.
First came across this brand on Cunard Cruise ships as it is the Prosecco from the wine list in their dining rooms and wine packages at $40 plus a bottle. I assume Cunard knows a thing or two about wine. Enjoyed it on the ships and even more from Tesco at only 9 quid a bottle. The text below is pasted from the Cunard wine list so you can decide for yourself whether or not it's the same stuff as Tesco. It tasted the same to me. Prosecco, Special Cuvée, Zonin, Veneto, Italy (2) Established in 1821, Zonin has become Italy’s largest privately-owned winery, and are owners of Italy’s largest Prosecco vineyards. A textbook Prosecco, with a fine mousse and fresh green pear and almond character. Soft and fresh on the palate with a lingering finish. The (2) rating is Cunard's assessment on a scale from 1= dry to 9= sweet and I thought it matched that rating.
Bought, after tasting it and a couple of alternatives in a blind tasting, for drinks on the lawn for a wedding. Hot sunny day and all available were consumed with gusto leaving some still wine that was surplus and returned to Tesco. Good light taste with no sharp after taste that some had. In our view definitely worth the extra 50p/bottle over the cheaper wine from the same producer also available through Tesco.
