Product Description

Garden peas.

Our Tesco garden peas are expertly tested for tenderness to make sure that we only select the sweetest peas. They are picked from the field, carefully popped from their pods and simply frozen for freshness. Individually frozen for small or large handfuls as required.

Storage

Important: If food has thawed, do not refreeze. Keep frozen at -18C or cooler.

Cooking Instructions

Microwave from frozen

Instructions: 800W 4 mins/900W 3 mins 45 secs.
Place into a microwaveable bowl, add 2-3 tablespoons water (30-45ml) and cover.
Cook on full power for 2 minutes (800W) / (900W).
Remove cover and stir.
Re-cover and cook on full power for a further 2 minutes (800W) / 1 minute 45 seconds (900W).
Leave to stand for 1 minute after cooking.
Drain well before serving.

Hob
Instructions: For best results cook from frozen.
Place in a saucepan of boiling water.
Bring to the boil.
Simmer for 3 minutes.
Drain well before serving.

Cooking Precautions

Check food is piping hot throughout before serving.

They are not as sweet or flavoursome as Bird's-eye eaten as a single vegetable but when mixed with other vegetables they are passable but in casseroles, stews etc. no one but be able to differentiate between brands.
