Bamboo is not what you want in your sausage!!
There were previously a good sausage with minimal added ingredients and 97% pork. They now contain various non food fillers including bamboo of all things! Have switched to waitrose for sausages now.
What and why have you done this?
What have you done to a great sausage? Where has the snap gone when I bite it? I bought these and cooked them on my BBQ to which they stuck? I’m so disappointed with these, we had these as a family for years and they were great, now worse than value !!!!
Changed spec recently (for the worse)
Tesco you have changed the spec of these recently and they are not finest quality anymore. We will not be buying again.
These used to be a good meaty, flavoursome sausage
These used to be a good meaty, flavoursome sausage, albeit with a slightly tough skin. Tesco have obviously changed the recipe/supplier/both because the innards are now a flavourless pap, although the skin is easier to cut. Wish it was just this one type, but the same seems to apply to other varieties in this range. Looking through the list of ingredients, they now contain bamboo fibre (presumably a cheap filler), which has no place in a proper sausage. I'm no panda so I'll be looking for a different make in future. Shame.
Used to be our favourites
Absolutely awful decision to change the recipe. They used to be our family favourites for such a long time, but unfortunately they aren’t scrumptious anymore. How can you make a fabulous product taste that bad?
A once excellent sausage ruined and down-graded.
Tesco's finest sausages were a regular treat, we ate them at least once a fortnight and often every week, but they have changed the recipe for the filing and started using alginate casings right across the range. They are, essentially, no longer a traditional sausage and have more in common with the budget frozen brands that sell for half the price. There is absolutely no reason to swap from a natural casing to alginate other than cost. I no longer buy them and resent Tesco's attitude that we, the customers, will just go along with a sneaky reduction in quality but not price.
Horrid sausages now
These sausages have changed so much. Bland , spongy. Nasty. I will not buy them again.
Tubes of tasteless cardboard
What have Tesco's done to these sausages??? They've gone from a 97% pork tasty sausage to a 90% tube of tasteless cardboard. To call these "Finest" is an insult. Far cheaper brands now taste better. Sort it out Tesco, we'll never buy these again
Succulent Tasty Sausages
The reviews show that peoples tastes do vary, I for example have never liked higly seasoned sausage such as Lincolnshire but others love them and its a scientific fact that people taste food in differing ways Marmite being a good example but for anyone looking for a succulent sausage which is tasty, is not overseasoned and has a tender skin, these are for you. We love them because they taste of meat rather than being overpowered by herbs and salt. I tend to oven cook them for 20min and we all love them.
Pork % dropped from 97% to 90%. Don’t taste good.
Pork % dropped from 97% to 90%. Don’t taste good. Don’t brown well anymore.
