would not buy again !!
Supposed to have 17% sultanas in them, mine had 5 sultanas between all 5 , so if I could give them no stars I would. Also very dry and tasteless.
Hard & dry with hardly any fruit
I got these well before the sell by date, yet they were hard and dry with hardly any fruit in them and certainly not the 17% as is claimed. Tried toasting one in an attempt to make it slightly more edible (it wasn't) and threw the rest in the bin.
Real Food
real food made with all the right ingredients no marg or added oils these scones are made with butter. They do need to be eaten quickly or they will go stale as they should if you want soft scones that you can leave for a week then best look for ones made with bad cheap oils
stale
The last two deliveries gave me scones that were dry and broken
Were part of a delivered order but were past their
Were part of a delivered order but were past their sell by date and brick hard.
OK, but not as nice as the Haywood Padgett Scones.
Unfortunately we had to have these as they discontinued the Haywood Padgett Scones. The Tesco scones do not have such a nice flavour or texture, they are too crumbly which may be to some peoples liking of course. Also, these only have a 4 day shelf life whereas the Haywood Padgett ones had one week.
dry and hard
Disappointed. Dry , hard, very few sultanas. Rather plain and boring for an afternoon treat. Partner did not like them either.
