Cooking tomatoes not salad tomatoes
These are tomatoes for cooking only really, I don't understand why Tesco is selling them in this form which will probably fool people into thinking they can be eaten straight from the packet. If you are going to cook with San Marzano tomatoes one in the can are much better, my mum is Italian and will only use ones from the can

I believe these are designed for cooking. When they are, they are juicy and make a thick sauce; however, they are not exactly bursting with flavour and are, in fact, slightly on the sour side. A tin of plum tomatoes makes a far superior sauce.
Bought Marzano Tomatoes this week (not mini) Best Before date was 7th May - opened on the 5th May and they were going mouldy and soft. Will try to save some but not impressed.
Bland with hard skin
I really don’t know what the hype is about this tomato. Poor flavour and thick hard skin. I could have bought cherry tomatoes for half the price and twice the flavour. Try piccolo tomatoes instead

These tomatoes are not good for eating but they make an excellent tomato sauce which is what they are intended for.
Certainly not worthy of being in the Finest range as there is no flavour and do not last - mine went squishy within two days of delivery.
Mushy Marzano Tomatoes
Every tomato was mushy and flavourless. Bought as a substitute for the finest piccolo tomatoes but nowhere near as good. I wouldn't purchase them again :(
