Not actually "mushy"
They have the mushy pea taste alright, but lack mushiness. A curious thing considering what they're meant to be.
I wish they wouldn't add sugar to the ingredients.

No ring pull!
Just like chip shop mushy peas, perfect for me. My only gripe is not about the contents but the can itself. There is no ring pull, so I had to buy a can opener just for this!
Awful
I’ve always loved this brand but a recent can were disgusting. Very runny. I did wonder if they were out of date but date was 2023. Very disappointed.
Food colouring added to make them greener
Taste was good but contains Brilliant Blue FCF colouring to make the peas greener. Think most of the mushy peas on offer at Tesco have added sugar and colouring though which is disappointing.
Not too shabby for tinned mushy peas
The colour is a pleasant neon green, reminiscent of radioactive material. Though the texture is slightly runnier, very similar to chip-shop mushy peas; as you would hope, tastes like sweet, dyed marrowfat peas. Perfect with fish and chips. Or if you fancy mushy peas.
Slushy rather than mushy
Usually good, but last tin was full of water. Slushy rather than mushy.
Love them. They are delicious

Well worth a try.
Heats to a slightly wet or loose consistency, which is perfectly acceptable. However, if you can plan ahead and heat them at least an hour before you need them, and then reheat to serve, you will have a much tighter, thicker, chip shop-authentic product if authenticity is what you seek.
