Vastly reduced quality now.
Oh dear Tesco. You have done it again. These trays of cupcakes USED to be really nice. It seems that ,like many other products, you have reduced the quality, to avoid putting up the price presumably. The sponge used to be very nice but is now much poorer quality and they have a reduced amount of topping. The red velvet ones have been replaced with salted caramel, which seems to be done to death now. When will Tesco realise that many customers want quality rather than just cheap. These are a poor copy of the be earlier if ones. I used to buy them for parties or 'occasions' but the quality is not good enough anymore.

Great quality cakes. Lovely and moist with good buttercream and a tasty hidden filling. Would buy again. Salted caramel particularly good.

I love these cakes only problem I have is they as yet have not thought about the people who live alone who don’t need so many cakes and only like a particular flavour like chocolate cakes you ou can not buy it seems 2 or 4 chocolate cakes yet and I believe many people would like to see this happen for the better range and reduction of waste food which has to be good also what is the point getting customers to not use plastic or recycle it when the store everywhere you look is still using it instead of other options like the old fashioned but good brown or even white paper bag which keeps foodlonger as well if used especially the brown bags ok occasionally they tear but. Paper recycles better so it’s worth getting extra for a small charge to help the planet which we desperately need to think about before it’s to late our world is already as hot as a foreign country which says itself something is dangerously bad with our climate we need trees planted for all cut down we need the oxygen they give us we cannot survive without them and our bees to pollinate
A tasty treat
Never going to be as good as a home made cupcake but for a very easy treat without baking these are a good alternative. If you don't have a sweet tooth, don't buy them, they have a good lot of icing on them and a bit of jam or sauce in the sponge. I freeze them and get one out a short while before eating.
Bland and dissapointing
Very bland cheap tasting cupcakes. Cheap nasty sponge and tastless frosting. Visually look great but thats about it. As a female watching my weight, I wasted caleries on something not even worth eating.
Far too sweet, salted caramel not great
Incredibly sweet! I had to take the Frosting off as combined with the caramel filling was just pure sugar and unbearable to eat. Chocolate ones were a bit better but to be honest I wish shops would stop smothering cakes with too much frosting because it's cheap and makes the cakes look bigger. The salted caramel ones need a rethink, they're just not that nice. Even the caramel sauce isn't particularly nice caramel flavour. Bit disappointed.
Lovely cakes for afternoon tea
Very nice cupcakes with a good proportion of cake to icing. The chocolate ones are my favourite, not overly sweet and full of flavour. Yum!
Why put salt in caramel! I will not buy these now. Why change a good product?
Ruined again, took out Red Velvet
I wish Tesco would stop messing with their products and making them worse. These used to be lovely when they were Red Velvet, Chocolate fudge and Victoria sponge. But you took out one of the best "Red Velvet" and replaced it with salted caramel which is awful. Leave the Chocolate fudge and Red Velvet alone, as they were the nicest and the Victoria sponge (my least fav) was better than this disgusting salted caramel. Not worth buying now.
