Great stuff. All curries have an extra dimension, and mixed with Thai green curry paste and peanut butter in the Maggi noodles always on order, that's an authentic Satay flavour that is cheaper than chips. An essential here.
I prefer to use this as the tinned varieties nearly all have stabilisers, and a fair few E numbers. This is just 100% coconut cream.
I love this. You can have it in the fridge & use it as you need it. You don't have to use it all at the same time like the tins. Great added to curry.
Not for me... prefer the tinned.
Tried it, but preferred the tinned versions. The blocks are sealed in one pack, so if you only need a bit, you need to store the remainder, which doesnt last long. Added to a home made Thai green curry, and the whole family thought is was a poor substitute for tinned, and had a strange taste.
I have used this for years, you can pretty much add it to anything you like, I prefer this solid form too, I always add a large chunk of this and onion to white rice when we have it and everyone has loved it,.... even people who don't usually like white rice.
yummy for making homemade korma curry
Delicious i make a vegan homemade curry using this. Crock pot the veg and let it cook throw in all the herbs and the korma spice and then once its all done through this in let it melt along with tesco frozen coconut milk in a bag. Very yummy. 100 per cent coconut no chemicals in this coconut block. Not good for using for coconut milk though tastes too powdery i tried it.
