The best halloumi
Amazing halloumi. No cows milk, so proper stuff! The tranche of mint down the centre really adds to the taste. It's worth paying extra. I had to get a competitor one recently from what's meant to be the upmarket high street retailer and it was awful compared to Tesco's. Tesco is leading the way on good quality products.
Delicious Halloumi
This Halloumi is delicious, it doesn’t really need the mint, the flavour it adds is so subtle and not necessary
Halloumi/ Hellim like my grandma used to make
This is one of the best halloumi/ Hellim as we Turkish Cypriots call it I’ve eaten outside of Cyprus. Trust me I’ve eaten much more than my fair share over the years . My grandparents used to make halloumi/ Hellim. On there farm in Cyprus in pathos . And the taste and texture of this product is almost nearly as good. I would recommend This product as it is made correctly , with yews and goats milk only . And the milk has been cooked correctly, for that lovely squeaking in your mouth. Try eating it the Cypriot way . Fried 1” slices in olive oil with fried eggs and a pinch of salt and squeeze of lemon juice !
The ONLY halloumi to buy!
I was sceptical about this product before I tried it for the first time because of the presence of mint. However, I decided to try it because it is made from a combination of sheep's and goat's milk. In fact the mint complemented the halloumi rather well. I enjoyed it very much indeed and will definitely buy the product again. 'Regular' Tesco halloumi made from cow's milk is less authentic and much less healthy though cheaper, of course!
