brilliant
wow.what a lovely wine, will be buying again.the taste lingers on your tongue
Undrinkable
Pale, thin, sweet yet harsh at the same time. A truly awful bottle of red.
Packs Quite a Punch!
Blackberry, damson. Thinner than pure Shiraz but packs quite a punch! Some tar. Petrol in the nose. 9 on my 1-10 scale.
Excellent "drinking" wine!
Can be drunk with/without food and complements a wide variety of foodstuffs. It has a good smooth flavour without being too heavy and although a good Merlot is very pleasant, this blend is that little bit lighter. Have just bought a number of cases in readiness for daughter's wedding at home next year as it is always on my list to buy when on offer but has had to be put away to avoid drinking beforehand.
Excellent value
The wine is excellent value .. Quality very good and delivered to our door, what more could you ask for
Great drinker
Always buy this when it's half price - real bargain
Good value Oz wine
A great blend mixed with care & thought. Just sit by the fire & enjoy
Very Dissapointed
We love Shiraz based wines and the combination with Grenache sounded a winner. We were very disappointed however. The wine is very thin and quite harsh on the aftertaste and not at all silky as described. Robust it is not and we will not be buying it again. Not anywhere near to the usual Rawnsley Estate standard, its almost like its been considerably watered down! Its not worth the money even at 50% off and if we had paid the so called 'full price' it would be going back. leave it where it is, on the shelf.
Thin and light 2012
I have always found this combination of grapes to be fairly full bodied but the 2012 is pale and thin. Not unpleasant if you like a light wine.
A good buy
This blend of grapes works well for me. Smooth with a lovely flavour
