Description
Single Malt WhiskyMatured in European and American oak casks for a smooth balance of sweet malt and gentle spiceThis is the Glengoyne way, and this is the result; a gloriously golden, clean and bright flavour with a malty finish. Notes of fresh green apples, toffee and a hint of nuttiness, with a touch of soft oak.
Unhurried since 1833.Everybody everywhere seems to be busy. Time flies, and we can't stop wondering where it goes. That's why, when everything is hurtling along around us, we hold true to our practices honed over centuries. Our unique distillation process has evolved little by little in pursuit of perfection. We're proud to be one of the slowest whisky distillers in Scotland.Glengoyne is nestled in the beautiful Glen of the Geese, where the distillery gets its name. Located in Dumgoyne, 30 minutes North of Glasgow, the distillery sits on the Highland Line between the Highland and the Lowland distilling regions of Scotland. We distil exceptionally slowly, for outstanding fruity flavour. Our Sherry casks take the longest in the industry to prepare, for a deeper, richer flavour. Our barley is only ever dried by air, and our whiskies have a natural colour.
While we respect the past, we also care about the future. Our liquid waste is cleansed in co2-capturing reed beds and our solid waste is harvested for enough energy to power 354 homes each year. Just like the geese who visit our glen each winter, we harness the power of the wind to help us reach our destination by sourcing all our electricity from turbines. So, with every sip of Glengoyne we raise our glass to a greener future.
