Super dry white wine
I love this dry white wine from Tesco. It is of consistently good value and terrific value for money. Light and easy drinking it is ideal as an aperitif or with seafood.
Won't buy this wine again.
Never had to write a negative review about one of the wines I have purchased off tesco before..but this is going to be my first. Was like trying to drink a glass of lemon juice !! I purchased 4 bottles which were on offer..(perhaps this is why they were on offer..maybe bad batch ?) But will certainly not buy this wine again !!
Really good quality and super value
My wife and I originally bought this as a wine to cook with - something of reasonable quality & flavour, well made but not to expensive. However, such is the quality of this wine for the price, we now cook with it and enjoy a glass of the same with the meal (usually seafood risotto or paella). Producteurs Plaimont are a superb Co-Op in South West France and this is an excellent offering from them by Tesco. Don't be put off by some of the reviews on here, this is a good wine with aromas of elderflower, grapefruit, nectarine add into this a real citrusy streak to the taste and a long finish and you have a wonderfully characterful value for money drink which is ideal for a midweek supper containing fish or seafood. Yes, it is acidic and dry (but not overly so). No, it is not like chardonnay or pinot grigio. Don't buy if you want off-dry wine or will only drink those two grapes - this has a character that cannot be matched by many other wines in this price range!
Nooooo
awful, its like drinking acid
Love this wine, buy it every week, my son in law i
Love this wine, buy it every week, my son in law is French and it gets his seal of approval
Recent bottles literally undrinkable
Unfortunately, this wine has been undrinkable recently. It used to be very nice but every bottle we’ve opened recently has been like drinking lemon juice. I like seriously dry wine but this wine has been so acidic it’s for the bin. I’ve contacted Tesco and they’re refunding the bottles we’ve bought on our online shop. I also notice that all recent reviews are saying the same thing and it’s now no longer available which I hope is because they’ve removed it from the shelves.
Wish i hadn't bought this
Oh no! It smells cheap and it's very vinegary. Definitely one to avoid.
Avoid sharp grapefruit taste
This was possibly the nastiest white wine I have ever tasted. Sharp grapefruit taste, nothing like the grape varieties it purports to be made of. Avoid
Disappointing
Horrid, very harsh
Exceptional
Oh boy this is in a different league... It's so fresh and fruity but not overly so. It's got character and a lovely finish. What a find! Ideal on its own or with Thai food or something spicy.
