Did'nt know you could buy tasteless cashew nuts until I tried these!!
Smelt of Fish
If I could give these a zero rating, I would. Appalling as I paid a lot for these, expecting good quality. The food was well within the sell by date, by many months. I opened the bag and there was an overwhelming smell of fish. They were rancid. I threw them away. I will not be buying these again. I bought organic for health reasons but the product was entirely unhealthy.
Purchased these to eat with a drink, they tasted nothing like cashew nuts. More of a chemical taste that caused a burning feeling in our throats. Certainly not the flavour of cashew nuts “Harvested at the peak of the season for a subtly sweet flavour” as advertised on the pack front. Could this chemical taste be from the packaging or some kind of preservative? I would not recommend this. I did purchase cashews from a health food shop after this disappointment that did taste of fresh cashew nuts, therefore I feel that there was something seriously wrong with this pack.
Not suitable for coeliacs
Coeliac UK say these are not suitable however packaging does not express that these nuts may contain gluten. Please add more accurate allergy information
