Vinification Details

The grapes are separated from the bunches and are gently crushed followed by a temperature controlled (17-18°C) fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Once the required colour is achieved, the wine is pressed, and the separated must continues fermentation. The wine is then treated, decanted, filtered and stabilised in order to prevent the tartaric precipitation. This process takes minimum of 1 month.

History

Located in the Veneto region 30 km north-east of Venice, Botter was founded in 1928 by Carlo Botter. The company sources quality grapes from a network of small local growers. Over 80 years on, the business is still family ran, so they can give each wine they produce care, attention and all the winemaking knowledge that has been passed down from one generation to the next.

Regional Information

Puglia spans Italy's long stiletto 'heel' and rivals Sicily as Italy's largest producing region. The area benefits from long sunny days producing very ripe grapes with great fruit concentration.
