Instructions: Place the required amount of peas in a suitably sized saucepan with sufficient boiling water to cover. Bring back to the boil and cook on a low to medium heat for approximately 30 minutes, stirring regularly.Add extra boiling water if required to gain your preferred consistency. For a mushier pea, a pinch of bicarbonate of soda may be added. As appliances vary, these are guidelines only.
