Good product but soak overnight to reduce cooking time. Agree instructions are on the economical side timewise. Make great Mexican refried beans. Gorgeous creamy bean.
OK but cooking instructions need to be revised
Product is Ok but we have found after following the cooking instructions, the beans were quite hard. I think at least another 30 minutes would have been necessary for the beans to be soft.
I heard somebody talking about pinto beans so deci
I heard somebody talking about pinto beans so decided to try it and it is now my favorite beans. It is soft when cooked and has a nice smell. I am however wondering if the carbs content is correct.
Wonderful soft, starchy taste!
I loved these beans, used them to make some baked beans and they came out delicious! The best thing is that is that you don't have to soak them before hand. However, I cooked them for 1h30 instead of 1h10 just to be safe.
Gorgeous, butter-soft and tasty beans
This was my first time making Pinto Beans. I am absolutely loving my bean stew which has just finished cooking..I felt compelled to leave a review. I did change the cooking time (cooked them for 40 minutes longer than it says on the package) and I also soaked them for about 8 hours! This is just how my Mother makes them and I am glad I did. I am sure they would have turned out just as fast if I hadn’t but now they are butter soft..my husband is on his second bowl as we speak.
Provide in-store as well as online
This product is not available at the Tesco Superstore in Calne, Wiltshire. Why? I prefer dry to tinned beans and dried beans are more economic and more versatile.
