Succulent, tender, and tasty
Ordered this as a 'practice' for Christmas dinner, and it was delicious. Looks exactly as per the picture here, and seared in a pan for a few minutes followed by 25 in the oven, it was succulent, tender and tasty.
My experience with this cut has been very disappointing. Over the years, until I would say 2019 these racks used to be succulent and one just could not go wrong cooking them., super dinner party dish. Not any more........... I have given up, returned too many now. they say the animal is distressed when slaughtered if meat that should be tender is not. If the supplier changed when it all went wrong, then someone needs to rethink. I cannot be the only person disappointed and I definitely know how to cook.

WHEN it is available, which is very much down to chance, it is nothing like the illustration. It often comes with very thin basting fat attached, which is NOT a 'Finest Lamb Rack' - Although I put on my picking notes that only real fat will be acceptable, it often has to be returned.
