Peppers like on holiday in the med
Tesco must have changed supplier (for the better) as the peppers we’ve received in our online shop these past few weeks have been amazing…. deep red, big, squat, ripe, sweet and delicious - they remind me of the peppers I buy in Spanish markets when on holiday. They’re superior to those I’ve bought in Waitrose and M&S and much better value. Glad to see Tesco selling produce that’s grown for flavour and not appearance.
Quality varies but generally good
Being seasonal and fresh the quality varies, but was surprised how sweet and tasty the ones we had this January have been.
No more ‘ loose’ veg in plastic bags
In November 2019 you announced that you would be ditching 1 billion pieces of plastic from your product lines by the end of 2020. These included the small plastic bags you use to pack loose fruit and veg for home delivery. With only a month left to go before your deadline, my delivery of last week included 4 small plastic bags. There was a single red pepper in one, a lemon in the other, a pineapple in a 3rd and 2 onions in a 4th. This review is for red peppers. So, the red pepper is good but not worth buying if it comes in a plastic bag. Was your announcement of Nov 2019 just a ploy to make us feel you really care about the planet? You clearly don’t care at all. Please try harder all we’ll begin to think all you really care about is the money.

It's coming home!
Not fresh, inside light beige mould patches.
Looked good although slightly spongy feel, outside appeared normal. Upon cutting open, discovered beige mould/discolouration inside.
Different
We have been buying these for years but in recent months something has changed. Often on the brink of going mouldy, have a very odd taste and the nice sweetness they used to have is gone. Given up waiting for them to change back
Disappointed.!!!
These peppers are normally very good. They were ordered for the purpose of being able to stuff them for a light lunch as I would do normally. Well it will certainly be light!!! The two peppers delivered were a third of the normal size but still charged at the same price. Very disappointed.
