Vinification Details

  • Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label is the ultimate reflection of the superb vineyards and consistent nature of the house style. Grapes from as many as 50 to 60 different Crus go into the blending of Brut Yellow Label and The Chef de Caves draws on priceless reserve wines to achieve the total consistency of quality and taste.

  • Founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot, the house was later taken over by his widow Madame Clicquot at the age of 27 in 1810. Through determination, intuition and acumen Madame Clicquot not only created the first recorded vintage in the champagne region but built up the Veuve Clicquot property to make it one of the foremost vineyards in all of Champagne.

Reliably delicious.

My go-to Champagne. Delicious and flavour consistency.

Not as nice as other brands

3 stars

Used this for a toast, nice colour but bubbles short-lived, flavour okay but rather like shop own brand rather than high end product. If you like Moet, Lanson stick to those.

Absolutely delicious. I am not keen on champagne, always thought it vinegary but bought Veuve whilst on offer, to toast a house sale and I've fallen in love with it. It was so smooth n had a lovely after taste. I unfortunately had to share the bottle but I swear I could have had it to myself and enjoyed every mouthful. When it had run out we opened another one that was regularly mentioned on the Ab Fab series and to be honest it was awful in comparison. Will look out for offers n try n stock up...

Great non vintage champagne

I always buy a case or two when the price is around £22 . It's a great non vintage champagne . Store it in a cool place and make sure you drink it before it loses its fizz . Non vintage champagne should be drunk within a 3 year period. Don't save it for too long - quaff it while it's at it's best !!

Great Champagne

Can't go wrong with Veuve, always a good champagne & never had an 'off' year on quality.

A very nice champagne

The difference in price to Moet Chandon is just a snobbery difference and less consistent
