Ideal store cupboard ingredient.
I used these to make some pea and ham soup recently, it turned out perfectly. Also, I added some (pre-soaked) to a beef stew, a lovely addition. An excellent store cupboard ingredient, providing you remember to plan in advance, I soak them overnight. If you only want to use a small amount, bin the "soaking tablet" and just add half a teaspoon of Bicarb. (or don't) to the soaking water and rinse thoroughly before cooking.

Has anyone tried to grow pea sprouts from these, in water?
