Bitter and watery. Please avoid this one
Spoiled my curry, made it taste so bitter we had to throw it all away with the passata pack

This was like coloured water. Very thin. I normally use Lidl’s own and that’s much better. Wouldn’t buy this again.
SO THIN and LIQUIDY.
What happened to your passata ?! I used to buy this all the time, now because of the lockdown I had to wait til I could get a slot... got a slot, added these to my order and they are like WATER. I poured two cartons into my ragu and it was pure liquid. No way did it make my normal sauce. You need to change back to what you used before because this is not passata.
Thin and watery - disappointing
As soon as I started pouring this from the carton I realised it very thin and watery, unlike other brands of passata I have used. I suspected my chicken casserole wouldn't turn out as intended and I was right - it was watery instead of thick and rich. I won't buy it again.
I know it is very cheap, but it's so bitter, it's just awful. I don't recommend it.
For my Italian cuisine
I cannot believe the reviews I read here. This passata is a perfect passata and super tasty on its own. I can imagine to drink it as a thick tomatoe juice with tobasco and to use it for my numerous recipes with tomatoe sauce. I can only recommend to buy it. It could perhaps be a bit thicker, but it is great.

I’ve had thicker Bloody Mary’s. Threw it away as it was essentially tomato juice.
Thin and watery
Stopped buying this as it has gradually been watered down more and more. I'd rather pay more for a thicker, more tomatoey version.

very watery passata, so unless you are adding it more as flavouor rather than using it as a thick passata for casserole or pasta
