Butter even my mum would buy

4 stars

Review from unilever.com

In our house butter is not very important due to the normal fat content of butter. However, the kids couldn't tell the difference and for this purpose alone would make it worth buying as this is another product to reduce saturated fats which helps towards keeping them healthy. I could taste the difference it was not as nice as a regular spread, but then I wasn't expecting it to be. It wasn't bad by any stretch however, it just seemed a little bland and not as thick... Overall, I with would buy this but only as an alternative for the kids or for when I want to feel a little more healthy. I would probably buy a small pack every so often for the kids sandwiches etc. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Flora Light SPREAD

4 stars

Review from unilever.com

I used this on mash, on toast & crackers and also for baking. Didn't notice any difference in taste to how my meals normally taste when I add or use butter, plus the added benefit of 30% plant oils (sunflower seed, linseed, rapeseed). In all honesty you can't, in my opinion, beat the taste of toast, crackers, etc spread with butter, but I can't say I didn't like the taste. So making the choice of a healthier spread gets a little easier to digest, because this Flora Light Spread does taste light and creamy, not plasticky and sticky, which can be the downfall of a lot of low fat spreads. So I was quite open to just have this spread on toast, crackers, scones, with and without toppings. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Buttery goodness or a flop in the pan

4 stars

Review from unilever.com

In our house hold butter is very important from spreading on toast to sarnies in lunch boxes for school this is a product we use every day. The kids couldint taste the difference in there snacks or toast and for this purpose alone would make it worth buying as this is another product to reduce saturated fats which helps towards keeping them healthy. However when I tasted it I could taste the difference it was a little bland to the taste. Also with cooking with it was a little flat to I've given this 4 stars because of the goodness that's in it compared to its rivals and its better for my children but for my preference I think i will be sticking to my normal purchase but adding this to my trolley as a light spread for my children. Great Tasting Spread

4 stars

Review from unilever.com

I've now been using this for a week and I'm pretty impressed with it for everyday use. It spreads very easily straight from the fridge, even on very fresh bread and it tastes really nice too. It is especially good for sandwiches and rolls, especially because it is so much lower in saturated fat than butter. On toast and crumpets butter still pips it for taste and texture but for everyday ease of use Flora Light will definitely be in my shopping basket again [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

My top choice in the spread aisle!

5 stars

Review from unilever.com

I have always been a lover of Flora, it smells delicious, makes my mouth water and tastes just like butter. I used Flora Light Spread in risottos, to bake, on toast, in sandwiches or to fry onions and I was never disappointed. It always spreads easily (rather than butter where your bread ends up getting torn to pieces), melts quickly and turns very creamy. I found it a godsend during baking - creaming the butter and sugar took no time at all! All thanks to Flora Light spread! If you want to make a healthy choice and don't know where to look in the spread/butter aisle, go straight for the blue Flora Light and you'll never look back. My family are now all avid spread fans! Flora light

5 stars

Review from unilever.com

Love this, taste the same as the normal Flora but a bit healthier. It is easy to spread on bread and have used it to make cupcake and still come out huge and taste the same. My kids are quite fussy and they couldn't taste the difference. Nice big tub and also get a smaller size if needed. You can notice it in the fridge in the supermarket with ease. Would recommend to someone. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Is butter better?

5 stars

Review from unilever.com

My answer to the title..... It's pretty much the same It's genuinely quite hard to tell the difference between this & normal butter & the fact that it's healthier is always an added bonus. Truth be told I'm not much of a butter/spread connoisseur & I'm not all that interested in what goes on my toast but my fiancé is fixated with what's best for us & our 2 boys so when we picked it up she was weirdly excited by the prospect of it all. Come breakfast time we broke it out & with eager anticipation & a maniacal look on her face she took a bite out of her toast & as a bit of an anticlimax proclaimed "it's ok I guess, can't really tell much of a difference". She was right enough it's hard to tell much of a difference between this & normal butter but I guess that's one of the reason Flora makes it, to be healthier than most but taste the same as most & on that I can't fault it because it ticks both those boxes. So well done Flora you've made a good & healthy alternative to butter [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Light but tasty

5 stars

Review from unilever.com

I really loved Flora light. Tasted just like normal flora but a healthier option so you can eat more. Very easy to spread on sandwiches and I also used it to cook fried eggs. Haven't tried baking with this yet but will do and see if anyone can tell the difference. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Flora Light Spread

4 stars

Review from unilever.com

I ususally don't buy anthing but butter for my toast, but comitted to make the substitution for the trial. After a week I can say that Flora Light makes a healthy alternative that will definately be being purchased again. The taste is light and it is easy to spread straight out of the fridge. (unlike butter) I will be mixing things up a bit from now on. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Not bad, but not great either

3 stars

Review from unilever.com

Though Flora Light is far lower in 'bad stuff' than butter, or many other alternatives, the taste leaves a lot to be desired when used in sandwiches or on toast, but that being said, I honestly couldn't tell the difference when my wife used it in a baby shower cake!
