Christmas day just had a 1/4 bottle of Lanson and have now opened this that I got last Christmas but didn't drink ohh my goodness what a delight actually prefer it to the Lanson have ordered another bottle for NYE this time I will be drinking it
A go-to for me
A goto for me. I love it when it's on offer but it's still good value at shelf price. A good bubble in the glass with an almost champagne mousse and finish. If I could afford it I would only drink Bollinger but because I can't I drink this.
Truly lovely bubbly
See what you mean about the cork. Really is a fine glass of bubbly Tesco finest never disappointed with wines.
Excellent stuff but be careful popping that cork
Absolutely lovely bubbly easily a match for champagne costing twice the price. However please take extra care when opening, both bottles I have bought the cork needed barely a nudge after you take the lid and wire off and the cork shoots out maybe too easily.
You won't be disappointed
A little known gem. Having lived in Limoux for 10 years, where we regularly sampled it, we were delighted to find it in Tesco on our return to the UK. Forget the mediocre, over hyped and (frequently)over priced prosecco. This has so much more to offer and can match many a champagne in quality.
Please try this!
I bought this instead of Prosecco for everyday fizz drinking. I was very impressed with this wine. Immediately yeasty and biscuity on the nose. The bubbles are fine and the mouth feel of the mousse is excellent. The acidity is well balanced and there are fresh subtle citrus tastes. It handles food well. Very good champagne substitute and more interesting than Prosecco. I think this will Jae excellent champagne cocktails at my daughters wedding- as well as fooling all but the well trained champagne drinkers as a stand alone fizz!
Fantastic value
I've had champagne costing three or four times as much and this wine outdoes all but one or two. Fantastic value.
excellent value and taste
This is excellent value and tastes as good as most champagne. Lovely flavour, small bubbles that last until the end of the bottle. Goes well with fish or white meat, but is equally good on its own.
low acidity, light and really refreshing
low acidity, light and really refreshing, most probably due to the prominent use of mauzac. Consumed with some light bites and went down very well and really decent value for the quality. I would rate this above the majority (but not all) of the cremants ive had and above any bottom range champagne.
Fabulous price and superb flavours
